The CVT transmission is a continuously variable transmission that automatically adjusts the transmission ratio based on driving conditions and engine speed to achieve smooth acceleration and save fuel. The core component of the CVT gearbox is a metal steel belt that connects two variable-diameter cone wheels. By changing the spacing and clamping force of the cone wheels, the continuously variable transmission function is achieved.

The steel belt of the CVT transmission is theoretically replaceable, but in practice it may not be possible to replace it individually. Theoretically, the CVT gearbox steel belt can be replaced individually, but only if the movable discs and fixed discs (tapered wheels) on both sides of the steel belt are not damaged. Their tapered surfaces form V-grooves to engage the V-shaped metal drive belts.

Most of the CVT models we usually see use Chain And Pushbelt transmission.
